Squash Anyone?

Well,how about this weather! I don't recall a winter like this,where the heck is the snow!!!Had a wonderful Christmas,14 family members here for dinner.Turkey was so good,one of our own.We made two buckets of sauerkraut and one is almost gone! We've been into the bacon,didn't get as much from the pig we bought but a good taste and I'm rationing it.lol I'm in a pork induced coma,sausages,pork chops and ham have quite a dent in them.

Getting 4 dozen eggs a day,young pullets are laying some lovely eggs and we still have lots of winter squash(Sweet Mama) for sale.
Thinking about ordering some heritage chicks.....again.......but hoping to find someone more reliable this year.

Roofer or Fiddler?

 We lost some shingles in the storm back in Dec 2010 but didn't have any leaks(so we thought) until a few weeks ago.So,Geof replaced the whole South side.

He did a great job......fiddler on the roof?

A magnificent creature but lethal on our new layers!Lost 2 ......the rest are in the run for now.
