Sauerkraut and Straw

On Monday morning we made our yearly sauerkraut.This year the cabbage was the very best we have ever gotten off farm.The heads were huge,crispy,sweet, and juicy!It's already working and the brine has come up to the top of the bucket and runneth over! I can't wait until it's ready :)

This time we just used a bucket instead of the stand and it worked much better.








The rest of the straw to cover the strawberry plants arrived this morning.The hens thought it was a special delivery for them because it was only a matter of seconds and they were up checking it out.lol
